Carbon Steel Tracing (CST) is a heating method that uses rectangular tubing attached to the exterior of pipes and fittings. It is a cost-effective alternative to jacketed piping and offers greater heating capacity than tube tracing. At Flextrol, we produce all our CST in-house using domestic SA 178 Gr. A carbon steel boiler tubing. A proprietary process is employed to form the CST, radiusing on one side to match the pipe's outer diameter. This internal production process enables faster lead times while maintaining our industry-leading quality. We can also perform a detailed thermal analysis of your system if needed.
